About Me

Aloha, I'm Roger Kaina Watson, LCSW (He/Him)

Licensed Clinical Social Worker – Founder of Watson Therapy Services
Serving all Hawaiian Islands through secure telehealth

Therapy isn’t just about solving problems—it’s about building a connection that honors your story, your culture, and your goals. I created Watson Therapy Services to provide a space where people across HawaiÊ»i can access grounded, culturally aware support, especially during life’s most challenging transitions.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over a decade of experience, I specialize in working with:

  • Men navigating stress, emotional pressure, and identity

  • LGBTQIA+ clients, including trans teens and adults working through gender dysphoria or transitions

  • Young adults and older teens facing anxiety, uncertainty, or identity development

  • Anyone looking for meaningful, culturally sensitive support during periods of change or emotional overwhelm

More About Me...

I was born and raised in Hawaiʻi, and the values of respect, empathy, and community are deeply woven into my work. Before launching Watson Therapy Services, I provided mental health care in school, community, and clinical settings, serving clients from keiki to kupuna. In addition to my work as a therapist, I’ve spent years coaching basketball at both youth and varsity levels. Coaching has been one of my greatest joys—it’s where I’ve helped young people build confidence, discipline, and life skills through the game. I bring that same mindset into therapy: meeting people where they are, fostering growth through challenges, and celebrating their progress. When I’m not working, I enjoy time with my ʻohana, staying connected to the land and culture, and learning from people’s unique stories.
